Bangalore traffic woes

Let us identify the reasons behind Bangalore traffic.

Video below shows some of the reasons for Bangalore Traffic.

Bad roads:
There are many bad roads around and illegal digging of newly laid are very common.

 Pot holes & repaired shapes:
They get repaired very slowly and not in scientific way. The pot hole once filled will have very asymmetrical shapes.

 Un-sceintific humps :
You can see humps ranging from size 10 to 100 and all of having strange shapes which can damage your back badly.

 Lack of metro lines:
We lack quicker implementation of metros and very much delay in extending it to peak areas.

 Bicycle and pedestrian paths:
We cannot see any steps which help reduce traffic like bicycle path or neat pedestrian paths.

 Water tankers:
We all want water. But the huge number of water tankers which run dangerously (Most of them belongs to some politician). Many are illegal and without any permit to serve water.

Peak time Driving school vehicle on busiest roads:
No one cares about it. You can see driving school vehicles blocking peak roads like ITPL main roads(A poor chap confused of using break or accelerator learning driving).

 Bus stops in wrong points:
Many bus stops are in wrong points, some immediately after the junction or just before the flyover, which creates hell traffic.

 BMTS/Volvo buses:
They stop anywhere on road and pick people. Drivers to be trained well.

 Private buses:
No one controls the private buses. They run with a low class theater system which breaks the ear drum of a common person and horns with ten times allowed frequency. At-least once if you are trapped in-front of them with 2 wheeler, you will know the hell. They drive very rash.

 Illegal digging:
All roads are dug without any notice, prior permission etc. Any one can dig road or put hump.

 Stricter license:
Getting license is very easy in Bangalore, but we lack driving skills and driving manners like dimming of lights, prope signaling etc.

 Emergency Breakdown Response Vehicles:
We can see at least 2 broke down BMTC buses or private vehicles if we travel 10 Kilometers. We need emergency response team to move them out.

 Pedestrian Bridges:
People cross roads and there are less pedestrian bridges. We need more such bridges which avoid traffic blocking, illegal crossing etc.

 Drainage system:
Properly laid drainage system can pull the water on heavy rains. We need to align the drainage well.

 Tractors:
They are intended for agricultural purpose, but you can see them carrying construction materials, water etc.

 Costly Public transport:
One of the major reason people run behind private buses instead of BMTC/Volvo.

 Personal Vehicle:
Every one wants comfort and none think about city. Costly/ non-frequent public transport also causes increase in private vehicles.

 Un-planned intersections:
There are many intersections in a single road which causes heavy blocks.

 Auto/ Cab:
Again the impolite way of driving. Changing lanes quickly can break the flow.

 Illegal Parking:
We can see lots of vehicles parked on busy roads, foot paths.
